Ballon d'Or

Exactly a week ago a french football player for Real Madrid, Karim Benzema, won the 2022 Ballon d'Or award. This is an award given by a french magazine "France Football" to the best football player in the world every year since 1956. This is the most valuable and most important award a player can win in this sport.

Even though the winner is announced at the ceremony, the day the award is officialy given, this years Ballon d'Or winner was known as speculated for the last 4 to 5 months. Karim Benzema was far ahead of his comp
etition this year that everyone speculated him as this years winner. So it came in no suprise when he was granted the Ballon d'Or last week. It was only the 2nd time in the last 14 years the award did't go to either Lionel Messi or Cristiano Ronaldo. Those two are recognised as the two best and most famous players for the past  20 years, both of them also hold the 1st and 2nd place in the number of Ballon d'Or's won -  Messi with 7 and Ronaldo with 5.

TAKEOFF (MIGOS) SHOT DEAD

Today, on 1st of November 2022, a very popular and influential raper, Takeoff, a part the rap trio - Migos, known all over the globe, got shot dead. Sources say that Takeoff took part in an argument that broke off because off a misunderstanding while playing dice game. The brawl turned into a shooting and Takeoff was the one that became a victim of that. The whole rap world is in tears and expresses it's sadness in memory of the artist. Takeoff was 28 years old. We have heard stories like this a lot in the past, 2Pac, Biggie, and many more. It is not the first and unfortunately probably not the last time a popular persona related to music andmedia dies as a result of a shooting. It sadly shows how inhuman, brutal and evil the enviroment, from which the celebrities coming from poverty, gangs, etc. really is.
